FAQ
Bulk cargo can be shipped as part cargo when the shipowner have other suitable goods to be transported to the same port.
When renting bulk cargo ships, a FIXTURE NOTE needs to be signed. Bulk cargo ships, as they operate in open cabins, are more susceptible to weather conditions. Therefore, shipowners usually have requirements for loading and unloading speed. Meanwhile, the shipping schedule of bulk cargo ships is not fixed, and the difficulty in renting of them is higher than that of container ships.
Unlike container ships, most bulk cargo ships usually do not have a fixed rotation, and charterer need to seek suitable bulk vessel based on origin/destination port position, cargo volume, and loading date. A small number of shipping companies also provide bulk cargo transportation services on regular basis (semi-liner service).
